How to Use Basilias' AI Assistant

The AI assistant is context-aware and can assist with various functions within the patient dashboard or specific patient notes.
Accessing the AI Assistant
The AI assistant can be accessed by clicking the speech bubble icon in the upper right-hand corner of the interface. When you hover over it, the tooltip "chat with AI assistant" will appear. Clicking this icon will open the AI assistant in the sidebar.
Key Capabilities of the AI Assistant
The AI assistant is designed to streamline various aspects of your practice, acting as a competent and helpful coworker. Its key capabilities include:

Finding Patient Information: The assistant can help you locate specific patient details, even if you only remember fragmented information (e.g., a pet's name or a holiday destination).

Tabulating Data and calculating risk scores: The assistant can help you tabulate the last number of laboratory values and dates, it can even tabulate risk factors and calculate risk scores.

Retrieving Patient History: It can search across the patient dashboard or within a patient's notes to provide relevant historical information.

Performing Administrative Tasks: The AI assistant can assist with tasks such as creating new patients, scheduling appointments, or drafting referral letters.
Context Awareness
A significant feature of the AI assistant is its context awareness:

If opened on the patient dashboard, it will search for information across the entire dashboard.

If opened within a patient's notes, it will focus its search within those specific notes.
This context-aware functionality makes the AI assistant highly efficient for performing targeted tasks.

Consider the AI assistant as a virtual physician, medical assistant, or administrator. Here are some practical examples of how you might use it:
