Creating a new template
This document outlines the process for creating a new template in Basilias under the templates tab, which is located along the top of the screen on the top bar.

Key Steps in Template Creation

Accessing the Templates Tab: Click on the templates tab (opens in a new tab) to enter the template creation page.

Using the Add Templates Button: Press the green button marked "add templates".

Options for Template Creation: Choose to add a template from scratch or from existing notes.
Creating a Template from Scratch
When adding a template from scratch, fill in the six required fields:

Template Name: Provide a descriptive name for easy identification.

Description: Create sufficient detail to differentiate from other templates.

Specialties: Select relevant medical or surgical specialties from the dropdown menu.

Tags: Optional field to add tags for easier template searches.

Content Field: Provide instructions for the structure and language to be used in the note.

Example Text Box: Include up to three examples of actual notes for reference.

Creating a Template from Existing Notes
Follow a wizard format through the four steps needed to generate a new template from clinical notes:

Initial Setup: Start the creation process.

Upload Clinical Notes: Choose 1 to 3 clinical notes for template generation.

Review Text: Use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to convert notes into editable text.

Finalization: Complete the process by saving the template with all required information.

Privacy Considerations
Templates are saved as private by default, with an option to make them public for sharing across the platform. Be cautious about including any private or protected health information.
