Create and use note templates
Templates provide the structure used when you generate a consultation note. The Templates page separates Basilias templates, your templates, and community templates, so it is easy to begin with a starting point and make it your own.
Use a template in a consultation
- Open or start a consultation.
- In the Notes area, open Select Template.
- Select the template you want to use.
- After reviewing the transcript, select GENERATE NOTE.
- Review and edit the resulting note before you save the consultation.
Create a template from scratch
- Open Templates and choose the option to create a template from scratch.
- Give the template a clear name and description.
- Optionally add specialties and tags to help organize it.
- In Content, describe the note structure you want Basilias to use.
- Add one or more examples that show the desired style and level of detail.
- Leave the visibility switch on Private to keep the template to yourself, or switch it to Public to make it available to other users.
- Select SAVE.
Create a template from your notes
The guided workflow can generate a starting template from existing examples.
- In Templates, choose the option to create a template from your notes.
- Upload one to three example clinical notes as PDFs or images.
- Continue to generate the template.
- Review and edit the generated structure, then name and describe it.
- Save the template and test it in a consultation.
Only upload examples you are permitted to use for this purpose. Review the generated template closely, then adjust it until it feels right for your documentation.
