Review and Edit the Calendar
The Rounds calendar is the operational view of a schedule. It brings assignments, schedule views, filters, printing, exports, and—where enabled—bookings into one place.
Find the right slice of the schedule
- Open Rounds.
- Select the schedule and date range you want to review.
- Use the clinician and service filters to narrow the calendar.
- Save a named schedule view when the same group needs to return to this combination. A view can include a name, description, color, selected clinicians, and selected services.
Saved views help teams focus on a service line, rotation, or on-call group without changing the underlying schedule.
Edit a draft
People with assignment edit permissions can create, change, or remove assignments in the calendar. Select an assignment to edit it, or create an assignment from an available slot. Basilias validates changes against the relevant scheduling rules before saving.
Use edit mode only on an eligible draft. Published schedules are not edited in place; create a modification draft instead. See Build a Schedule Draft.
Review what needs attention
Look for uncovered work, assignment warnings, or conflicts before approval. Confirm the result across the full scheduling period rather than only the week currently on screen. If a manual change is important to preserve in a new generation, capture it as the appropriate constraint or manual override.
Print a working view
Choose the print option in Rounds, then select the date range, services, clinicians, and layout:
- Month — one month per page
- Week — one week per page
- Day — one day per page
- List — table format
Each selected schedule view is printed on its own page. Use a narrowly filtered view when a team only needs its own coverage.
Permission note
Calendar access is permission-aware. Some roles can review schedules without changing assignments; export and subscription options are also controlled by role. If an action is unavailable, ask an organization administrator to confirm the relevant schedule or calendar permission.
